Marketing coaching as a ‘rare, powerful cocktail’
Emma Clarke is hands down one of the most talented people I’ve ever met.
Emma is a voiceover, including one of the iconic “mind the gap” voices on the London Underground and the voice of the lift in Channel 4’s Rise and Fall and of the Avalon in Passengers with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence.
She’s also a published author, composer, academic, working mum, and genuinely all-round nice and fun person to be around.
I didn’t know the nice and fun bit when Emma first approached me about marketing coaching in 2022. So ahead of our first call I felt genuinely quite intimidated. Could I help someone who is that accomplished?
Time would tell…
Emma’s marketing coaching goals and results
When Emma and I first started working together, she faced a common solopreneur challenge: self-promotion.
As Emma is the product she’s selling, she found herself often feeling self-conscious, awkward and shy.
Seeking to overcome these hurdles, Emma came to me for marketing coaching. Her main goal was to get to grips with her marketing and develop strategies to confidently promote herself and grow her audience.
Over the 4 sessions we worked together, Emma not only achieved this but also saw a transformation in various aspects of her business.
She learned to effectively communicate her value, which resulted in:
increased sales
clearer career direction
new product development
improved brand visibility, and
even cost savings!
What Emma said about my marketing coaching
My coaching style proved to be just what Emma needed to move her business forward.
Describing my approach as “truly transformative”, Emma said she particularly appreciated my empathy, creativity and the fact that I tune into my clients and their businesses.
In Emma’s words:
