Christmas Marketing Carols: an Instagram Live series

In my Christmas marketing course Merry Christmas Marketing I share 55 tips, ideas and mini campaigns to help small businesses promote themselves and their wares in the next few months.

But I wanted to go a bit deeper on some of the topics and bring in some other voices to share their expertise too.

So I’ve asked some of the merriest, brightest marketing minds I know if they’d come on Instagram Live with me and share their genius.

Here's the sparkly line-up:

Lucy Werner, PR whizz at The Wern and author of Hype Yourself.

(You need this book on your shelf if you’re a small business owner!)

I want to ask Lucy about the kinds of things journalists want from businesses right now. What should you be pitching, when and for which publications?

Paul Jardine, owner of Paul Jardine web design and development.

I’ve previously picked Paul’s brains on the blog (he’s one of my lovely clients), but this time I’m going to focus on his expertise in making web shops that work really well.

Eman Ismail, founder of InkHouse.

Eman is an email and copywriting extraordinaire and I’ve admired her from afar for a very long time. I’m excited to chat to her a bit more about how businesses can use email to sell more this Christmas.

Christmas Marketing carols on Instagram live.

Yolanda Sissing, owner of PinkLeaf Social.

We can blame social media for lots of bad stuff in the world, but let’s not forget that it also brings lots of good. For me, Yolanda is part of that. I can’t remember how I stumbled across her on Instagram, but we instantly had loads in common, not least that we grew up about 30km apart in South Africa.

I’ve since come to know Yolanda as someone who really knows her stuff when it comes to storytelling, small businesses and social media, and I’m looking forward to getting her take on things businesses can do to up their social media game for Christmas!

Thursday, 5 November at 1pm

Bex Massey, owner of hygge shop Bramble and Fox.

Bex is another one of those people I met on Instagram and hit it off, but can’t quite remember how we found each other. That doesn’t matter now, because in this live we’re going to get all stuck into the cosy comforts of Christmas, and how that can relate to your marketing.

Merry Christmas Marketing course.

And then over in the Merry Christmas Marketing Facebook group, this week we are having our first live Q&A. I’ll be answering questions about the course, and we’ll chat about what people have learned so far and the ideas they’ve had.

I was SO happy today to get an email from Fiona Meakin, who has been working through the course and have started selling her wonderful decorations and With her permission, I’m sharing part of her email.

“The Christmas course is fantastic and has really helped to kickstart my sales! It’s really accessible and full of useful information to launch seasonal products. A lot of fun too with lots of Christmas sparkle, which we all need more than ever this year!

"Thanks so much Karen, for giving me more confidence to share posts and boost my sales."

I was so SO happy to read this, because this was exactly what I wanted it to achieve!

If you’re still on the fence about it, please get in touch as I will tell you if it is going to be useful for you or not. Or if you want to get on it then please head this way!
