You know blogging will help your site rank higher in search.

You know blog content is great for repurposing into social media posts.

You know blogs can help your people move more quickly and smoothly towards buying from you.

You know you have something to say, you’re just not quite sure what to put in your blogs.

Then why are you still not blogging consistently?! Usually it’s one of the following reasons (or a few of them!).

My guess is you’ve dabbled in blogging, but you:

  • felt uninspired

  • don’t think you’re much of a writer

  • weren’t sure if you were choosing the best topics

  • didn’t enjoy the process

  • didn’t know how to make your blogs better

  • felt it took too long

  • didn’t know what to do with blogs after you’ve published them

Sound familiar?

You’re not alone!

Blogging can definitely feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. At its core, blogging is about serving your audience with good content.

This is at the heart of my new course, Blog Like You Mean It.

Learn to Blog Like You Mean It

If you’re looking for a quick fix/secret formula/blueprint for blogging, this isn’t it. This course is for small businesses who want to find a way of content creation that works for them, so they can:

  • serve their audience better,

  • perform better in search, and

  • have more relevant and authentic things to say on social media.

It’s time to cut crap content, and I will show you how. Using my nearly 20 years’ experience as a writer and marketing content creator, I’ll break down the business of blogging into manageable, jargon-free chunks.

Over a period of 6 weeks, you will learn and get to practise planning and creating great blog content with (relative!) ease. You’ll feel clearer and more confident that your content is actually benefiting your business, without feeling like you are spending too much time on your marketing.

This programme has been adapted from my popular Blogging to Boost Your Business course, which ran as a series of live workshops in 2020 and has been available as a self-paced course since.

What you’ll learn

Blog Like You Mean It is a live learning experience, which is a bit of a pompous way to say you will learn with others through live workshops and a Facebook group where I will be present every day to answer questions and encourage you along your way.

Blog Like You Mean It is built around four key learning areas:

  1. Strategic foundations of creating marketing content, including knowing your audience and developing your content pillars.

  2. Content ideation: coming up with ideas for content and repurposing content for different channels.

  3. How to write for humans, search engines and to have fun while doing it.

  4. Content planning using a calendar and making time for tracking performance.

These topics will be covered during live workshops, and you will get worksheets which will consolidate your learning and get you started with putting it all into practice.

Alongside the live sessions (all of which will be recorded), we will have a dedicated Facebook group where you will have direct access to ask me anything. You’ll also get to know others on the course!

What others have said about my blogging courses

Blogging to Boost Your Business has been more than an eye opener. Is this the right course for you?

Blog Like You Mean It is for you if you:

  • Have given up on blogging because you felt it’s just too much effort for not enough reward.

  • Want to blog, but struggle to find the time to do it consistently.

  • Don’t know which topics to write about.

  • Need your website to perform well in search results pages.

It is not for you if you:

  • Are happy with your blog and find it easy to post relevant content regularly.

  • Can’t commit the time to working through the course (the workshops will be 45 minutes - 1 hour each, and to get the most from the worksheets, you will need 1-2 hours each. This means you will need to invest at least 7 hours in the course, but this doesn’t have to be during the 6 weeks, as you have lifelong access to the content.)

  • Are happy to just make things up as you go along and don’t see the benefit in doing some thinking and planning upfront.

  • Don’t align with my values and commitments to ethical marketing practices and anti-racism.

Dates for your diary

  • The Facebook group will open on 17 May

  • There will be 4 live workshops: 1pm 19 May, 1pm 26 May, 9am 9 June and 1pm 16 June. These sessions will be recorded.

  • There is no workshop during the week starting 31 May - this is a catch-up week.

  • Final live session, a Q&A, on 23 June on 1pm.

  • The Facebook group closes at the end of June

Six weeks of connection, networking and working with others like you! It’s going to be great!

The 6-week course is £300. A payment plan is available (2 payments of £160, please contact me to arrange).
